Fate of Tekumel for Free RPG Day

Art by Mahlon  Blaine

Starting at 6 PM on Saturday, June 17, I'll be running a Fate of Tékumel game for Free RPG Day at Source Comics and Games in Roseville, MN.

The game session is titled "Lords of the Latter Times". This will be a free-wheeling Barsoomian style adventure in the early days of Tékumel. If you like strange mutants, psionics, aircars, crossed swords, and battle harnesses, come on by and play the game!

No knowledge of Tékumel is necessary for this game.

    1. My next public games will be at U-Con in Ypslanti, MI in November, and Con of the North in Minneapolis (Feb 2017). Also, if the Source runs another Dave Arneson Day (September/October) I will run something there.

  2. Speaking of Tekumel, I've started reading The Man of Gold for the first time. A bit slow, but the details are really interesting.

    1. Good for you! I've been toying with rereading it myself, and gone a chapter or two in in the last 3-4 months.

    1. Mahlon Blaine had Twin Cities connections, too, although my understanding is that he didn't live here. He was also a pornographer (illustrations, not photo or film). You can see Eros running wild through all his art; it is quite Dionysian, no? He even wrote a fake autobiography, which is about 4' from my reading chair.
